Write a marketing email with AI
From blank page to send-ready in ten minutes, in your own voice — not a robot’s.
Every business owner writes the same handful of emails eventually: an announcement, a sale, a "we miss you" note to lapsed customers. AI can get you a solid draft fast. Here's how to actually do it.
Step 1: Give it facts, not a vague ask
Skip "write me a marketing email." That gets you something generic. Instead, tell it the specifics: what you're selling, who it's for, the dates, the discount, and how you want the reader to feel.
Step 2: Fix the tone
The first draft usually sounds a bit too polished or salesy. Read it out loud. Any sentence you wouldn't actually say to a customer, cut it or ask AI to rewrite it plainer.
Faster option: paste in an old email you liked and say, "Match this tone, but for this new announcement." AI copies a voice well once you give it a real example.
Step 3: Get five subject lines, not one
Ask for five options, not one. You'll rarely pick the first one it gives you, but seeing five side by side makes it easy to spot the one that actually sounds right, or mix two together.
One thing worth noting: Small business owners using AI for the first time often forget to verify the details. Add one line to your prompt — "Before sending, double check every date, price, and link" — and then check them yourself. AI sounds confident even when it's wrong.
